Write your own caption here

I've thought of several captions for this picture, but I finally just decided to put it up, as is. I just happened to snap this at the right time, mid-yawn. His expression cracks me up every time I look at it. It's such a look of shock and appall.

Afternoon commute

This is Mockingbird Station, obviously before the 5 o'clock rush. Mass transit always fascinates me since it's never been a staple in my town.

The Phoenix Midtown Apartments

My hotel in Dallas was right by these apartments on Mockingbird. I thought it was a unique building to be apartments. I loved the detail in the murals and on the day I took these pictures, the sun was just setting enough to emphasize the gold colors.

I got a couple of close up pictures that show the detail better. How cool would it be to live somewhere like this? I love the cute little balconies too.

Puppy noses

I love to take pictures of my dogs and really love the detail the macro lens provides. I want to kiss that nose, but I think I'm more in awe of every single hair on those lips! I never saw it this clearly with my other lenses.

I'm heading to Dallas for a week (work related), so I'll be without my puppy kisses for the week. Have a great one!

My belated St. Patrick's Day picture

I  wanted to post this picture on St. Patrick's Day because of all the green, but we've had some personal things going on in the family, so I've not been home at night much, except to come home and go straight to bed. This is sort of random, but I liked the contrast of the green with the wood.

More Macro Fun!

It's a gorgeous, sunny day today, so I went outside with the macro lens again. I love the colors in these, especially the first one since it shows the blue sky in the background! I can't believe how it shows the barbs in such detail.

The Macro Lens

I've not had a chance to really play with my macro lense as much as I want, but the other night, I took some pictures of items in my house. This is an arrangement of dried roses I have. I think I'm really going to dig this lense!

Well it wouldn't make a dentist proud.

There is nothing cuter to me than a puppy under-bite. I snapped this one of Wally last night when he was rolling around in the floor like a crazy boy.

Remember the Alamo

I am always amazed by how the Alamo is right in the middle of the city, but I always enjoy seeing it. I'll admit that it makes me think of 2 things every time...
I'm sure I should pretend it's something to do with the missions or the battles, but those who know me will understand that my life is wrapped up in TV, movies & pop culture. I totally think of Selena & Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

Pee-wee: Aren't we gonna see the basement?
Tina: [laughs] There's no basement at the Alamo!

That line gets me every time.

The closest I'll get to Spring today

This is the last of the wedding photos I wanted to share (a collective cheer goes up from the audience). This is also a good picture to represent the beautiful spring day we're having today. Well, I'm picturing these flowers as representative of a beautiful spring day. Not that I'll get to see any of it. I've been sick for a week now and while I'd love to be outside, enjoying the weather and taking pictures, I still have no energy what-so-ever.

I had to cancel the class I planned to take, I've not gotten to use my new lens at all and I'm missing our first warm weather in months. It's all starting to take it's toll... can you tell?

Candles

I don't have a lot to say about this picture, just that I liked the reflection of the flame on the glass. I'm a woman of few words today.

Chapel One - Randolph Air Force Base

My niece & nephew were both married in this Chapel on base in San Antonio. There's something about the architecture that I think is absolutely beautiful.

Garcia Art Glass

In the San Antonio Hyatt, there is a gallery called Garcia Art Glass (www.garciaartglass.com). This was in the window - the detail was amazing!
